Crisis Response Clinician - Mental Health Professional

Job Duties Assesses and coordinates care and support services for adults with mental illness and children with emotional disturbance and their family who are experiencing crisis.
Serves as the outpatient clinician for the crisis stabilization team.
Conducts clinical assessments, develops diagnoses, and participates in developing person/family centered treatment plans with individuals served and their families.
Monitors progress and coordinates appropriate behavioral health and other needed services including, but not limited to, community coordination, outreach, and referrals.
Responsible for maintaining an electronic record which includes required documentation of services provided, progress notes, treatment plans, periodic reviews and rights documents for persons served.
Participates in individual supervision and team meetings to review progress, identify barriers and develop strategies for better assisting individuals and families in reaching their goals.
Responsible for full compliance of individuals on caseload having CAFAS/PECFAS/LOCUS/DLA completed quarterly or as identified in clinical record.
Provides crisis intervention and stabilization to those referred by other clinicians.
Ensures that paperwork is maintained in accordance with funder requirements as well as Easterseals MORC policies and procedures.
Responsible for assessing, reviewing all requests for services and approving/authorizing medically necessary services for all individuals served.
Only implements therapeutic modalities approved by Easterseals MORC.
Demonstrates knowledge of principles of trauma informed care and co-occurring disorders.
Willingness to support and assist individuals served with trauma related issues.
Qualifications Possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Social Work; AND Have an LMSW from the State of Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services (limited license as a Social Worker LLMSW may be considered based on program need and is paid at a compensated level); OR Possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling; AND Have a (LPC) from the State of Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services (limited license as a professional counselor (LLPC ) may be considered based on program need and is compensated at a different level); AND Must meet qualifications of a Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) and/or Mental Health Professional (MHP) per the Michigan PIHP/CMHSP Provider Qualifications per Medicaid Services Must posses a valid motor vehicles license in the State of Michigan with valid auto insurance coverage; AND Possess a knowledge and understanding of co-occurring disorders (mental health & substance abuse); AND Must possess/obtain 24 documented training hours relative to Child Diagnostic Treatment Services (CDTS) within 3-months of employment AND maintain 24 documented training hours relative to CDTS annually thereafter (within any 12-month period); AND Must be CAFAS/PECFAS/LOCUS/DLA trained within the first 3-months of employment and maintain ongoing certification.
Must possess knowledge and understanding of co-occurring disorders (mental health and substance abuse); stages of change, phase of recovery and in motivational interviewing enhancement.
Must possess/obtain 24 documented training hours relative to Child Diagnostic Treatment Services (CDTS) within 3-months of employment AND maintain 24 documented training hours relative to CDTS annually thereafter (within any 12-month period); AND Benefits of Being a Superhero! The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
