WCL Quality Specialist

The World Class Logistics(WCL) Quality Specialist will work closely with WCL Lead, all Pillar Leads and local Depot Quality Pillar Leads to develop and implement WCL Quality route map, lead activities within Quality Pillar, coordinate priority of WCL Quality projects in activities of the Depots and suppliers, and closely monitor progress and status of Kaizen projects.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
Review master plan and Depot project activity and timing with all pillars
Work closely with the bargaining unit leadership and PD to develop high levels of involvement in the Depots
Support benchmarking activities across Depots along with PD in partnership with the PD Pillar
Lead efforts to increase WCL training opportunities and act as liaison with World Class Manufacturing(WCM) Central Team's Quality Pillar Lead
Assist WCL Lead with internal reviews, external audits, and internal audits
Support the Depots and suppliers in the creation and implementation of the best practices
Remove roadblocks and coach teams not making timing or struggling with strategy
Attend, when needed, audits from other manufacturing plants and Depots to gain knowledge and strategy on implementation and coaching
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Minimum 3 years of experience in quality, logistics, manufacturing, warehouse operations, or operations management
Continuous improvement experience
Experience working in cross functional teams
Experience improving processes
Audit preparation and presentation experience
Strong analytical skills, and ability/willingness to gain additional knowledge on WCL topics
Experience collaborating and working cross functionally
Demonstrated experience in identifying root causes and providing solutions utilizing problem solving tools
Willing and able to travel up to 20% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
Project management experience
World Class Manufacturing(WCM)/World Class Logistics(WCL) working knowledge and experience
Strong communication skills with the ability to work with diverse teams and individuals at varying levels in the organization
Ability to manage multiple priorities with conflicting deadlines
High proficiency in Google Suite-Sheets/Slides



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
