Maintenance Supervisor







JOB DESCRIPTION




JOB TITLE: ? ? ? ?MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR




JOB SUMMARY:



? Responsible for all maintenance functions on the shift including repairs, installation, modifications and lubrications.


? Assigns work to people taking into consideration urgency of repairs, machine schedules, safety, costs of repairs and its effect on production.


? Follow-up work assigned to Associates to monitor procedures, material availability and coordination and make adjustments as necessary.


? Responsible for all maintenance related calls on your scheduled day of work.


? This is a ?working? Supervisory position


? Oversees the Maintenance functions


? Assures that the PM Program is performed including corrective work orders.


? (Mechanical) Stamping experience; Press to press automation


? Supervises skilled trades personnel and coordinates maintenance activities between shifts.


? Implements projects in Area Press Departments.


? Supervises skilled trades personnel in the refurbishment of all equipment.


? Assist in all new model projects.


? Assist in the implementation of cost savings projects for manpower reductions



JOB RESPONSIBILITES:



? Review new ideas, plans and procedures with superior to continuously improve maintenance performed on plant and machinery.


? Support maintenance related training initiatives and provides leadership in the maintenance department.


? Work with production staff, including Supervisors, to resolve installation and repair problems.


? Supervisor and train Associates on the repair and maintenance of various equipment.


? Establish repair and maintenance scheduling priorities in order to meet production deadlines.


? Liaison with outside contractors as necessary and ensure the timely completion of projects.


? Evaluate workmanship and ensure that all work orders are completed satisfactorily and in a timely Manner.


? Develop and support continuous improvement initiatives in all areas of the department.


? Participate in the development of the department Loss Control practices.


? Maintain all equipment to acceptable operating standards.


? Coordinate all contracted maintenance services.


? Organize and maintain a filing system for equipment and maintenance functions.


? Identify and manage maintenance backlog.


? Maintain the P.M.I.P. and improve as required.


? Perform other duties required from time to time by your Manager/Supervisor.




EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:



? Post secondary education in a maintenance related field.


? Previous Supervisory experience an asset.


? Minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing/maintenance field.


? Must be a certified Millwright, Electrician or Programmer.



EQUIPMENT AND/OR PRODUCT:



? Various equipment including grinders, mills, lathes, MIG/TIG/ARC welders, robots and stampings.


? Computers, printers, fax machines, and telephones.



WORKING CONDITIONS:



? Office areas and manufacturing environment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
